Eric Darby is a nationally-recognized writer and performance poet, currently based in New York. He has competed in two Individual World Poetry Slams and five National Poetry Slams. He has been ranked in the top twenty in two NPS's, and was one of seven National Finalists in 2005.

Eric is a past host of the Detroit and Lizard Lounge Poetry Slams and has been published in four nationally-distributed spoken word anthologies. His unique full length CD/book project The Secret Dream-lives of Engineers was released by Wordsmith Press in February 2006.
